Services

The Hope Source, Inc. aims to provide comprehensive services for our families, including assessment, consultation, individualized treatment planning, behavior management, and support services. Also, it is important that we educate and collaborate with the community that supports the children we serve, including schools, the medical community, and all of the various professionals in the autism field.

1] The RDI® Program for Families

The RDI® Program is a parent-based, developmental remediation program for Autism Spectrum Disorders. We train the parents to be guides for their children of any age to become competent in this complex, dynamic world. We teach them to implement objectives into their daily activities. We provide ongoing support and monitoring of progression and mastery of these objectives. It all begins with the parents.

The program includes parent education and readiness, assessments (RDA), individualized treatment planning, regular monthly consultations with home video review, and program support.

2] Support Services

In order to support our mission, we must support all aspects of a families journey through remediation. Therefore, we offer services that include counseling, parent and extended family support groups.

For Hope Source clients, we offer a program support group that focuses on group education and experiences with the RDI® concepts and implementation.

Counseling is available for children, adolescents, and adults impacted by autism in their family. We now have a licensed psychologist on staff to provide these services to any family in need. Diagnostic services are also available.

We hope to increase our services in the coming months to include Speech and Occupational Therapy.

3] School Consultation

In addition to support services, we also want to ensure that the child is thriving in any environment, especially school. We offer school services that include: presentations and workshops, teacher and aide consultation training, and school-wide consultation.

This type of consultation can be initiated by the school or the parent. We serve as a liason between what parents are doing a home and how the school can complement the child's objectives.

4] Home School Program

For those who choose to home school their child, we offer consultation to help the parent design curriculum around their RDI® objectives. We work with the parent to develop a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and remediation based so that the child receives the optimal education.

5] Remediation Extender Program

For families that have successfully mastered parent objectives and need additional support, we have extenders available to help implement their objectives. This is an extension of the families program, not a primary therapist. The parents remain the primary guides for the child and the extender, secondary.

The extenders are educated by The Hope Source or the parents. This training does not qualify them to provide consultation or therapy services to any family not under the guidance of The Hope Source.

6] Education: Presentations and Workshops

We love to spread the word about RDI®! We welcome any group, school, or organization that would like to hear us present to contact us. Typically, our presentations runs about two hours and workshops all day.

Presentations can be for the general public, including parents and professionals. We also can do presentations that are geared toward specific populations.

Please do not hesitate to contact us about presenting in your area.

We have teamed up with Hamilton County Autism Support Group to offer Sibling Workshops for children ages 6-12 with a sibling with autism. Click here for more information and registration form. Workshops are held on the 4th Saturday of each month from 9-11am.
